Unforgettable Kombi Hire Terms and Conditions (10/21)
About Us

We are an Ormeau based family owned and operated small business. We provide Booked Hire services with an accredited driver around the northern Gold Coast for weddings, formals and special events.

Our vehicles are iconic classic VW Kombi microbuses from the 1970s.

Our business has an ABN and is registered with ASIC. We are an approved Booking Entity.

Our vehicles are comprehensively insured and have the appropriate additional CTP insurance. Our vehicles are well maintained, routinely serviced and have a full safety inspection every 12 months.
General

Do: accept these terms and conditions and tell your passengers.
The client hiring our vehicle/services unconditionally accepts all of these terms and conditions, and commits to telling all passengers about these terms and conditions.

Do: be aware that the vehicle is an iconic classic from the 1970’s and has no air-conditioning or child safety restraints/ seats.
We provide a complimentary esky with ice and cold drinks. We also provide hand held fans, umbrellas, tissues, hand sanitiser and face masks. If a small child is part of your special group please ask us how we can make individual arrangements to include them.

Do: be ready and on time.
Our vehicle’s hire time commences when it arrives at the designated pick-up location at the agreed time.

Do: be aware that we have a Plan B, C and D.
You are hiring an iconic classic Kombi from the 1970s. She has been putting smiles on faces for around 50 years. Although she is carefully maintained, routinely serviced and full safety inspected every 12 months she can sometimes show her age. If she is unavailable, we have a reciprocal arrangement with another quality local Kombi booked hire service. If they are unavailable, we will provide a late model VW Kombi microbus to ensure your event goes ahead at 50% of the original total booked hire cost. In the worst-case scenario if no vehicle is available, we will provide a full refund.

Don’t: drive our vehicle.
We provide the accredited driver. None of our services allow you or give you permission to drive our vehicles.

Don’t: don’t smoke.
Smoking is not permitted in or near the vehicle.
Booking Payments and Cancellations

Do: carefully plan your trip with us.
Complete our detailed Booked Hire Run Sheet with us so we are able to meet your expectations and provide the best possible experience for you and your passengers. The Run Sheet should also include details of your passengers and photographer if appropriate. We do not provide any photography services. Our microbuses can carry seven (7) passengers (plus driver).

Do: be aware two (2) hours is the minimum booking time.
Minimum booking time is two (2) hours and charged hourly after that. Our vehicle’s hire time commences when it arrives at the designated pick-up location at the agreed time. Our vehicles hire time ceases when the hirer and driver agree the service has been completed.

Do: confirm your booking by paying the non-refundable deposit on time.
The non-refundable deposit will depend on the services requested, and is included as part of the total fee quoted. The non-refundable deposit is due 10 days from date of Invoice. Non-payment may result in the cancelation of your booking.

Do: pay the full balance on time.
Pay the total fee on time and in full prior to the commencement of services. Full payment is due 21 days prior to the service. Non-payment may result in the cancelation of your booking.

Do: contact us asap to cancel if required.
The client may cancel a booking up to 14 days before the service date and receive a refund less the non-refundable deposit.

Do: communicate with us asap if unanticipated emergencies emerge.
We commit to working cooperatively with you if events beyond your control effect your booking. These include medical emergencies, natural disasters and pandemics (eg: COVID). Options include re-scheduling or cancellation without penalty.
Respecting the Vehicle and Equipment

Do: be respectful of our iconic classic vehicle.
We keep our vehicle in immaculate condition to offer our clients the best experience and service possible. During the hire period you are responsible for any deliberate, malicious, and negligent damage caused to the vehicle or equipment outside its usual wear and tear.

Do: leave the vehicle interior clean and tidy.
The client is liable for any excess cleaning of the interior.

Do: be aware the hirer pays for any necessary repairs of damage caused by any passenger.
The client hiring our vehicle will be responsible for any costs involved in rectifying damage caused by any passenger. If the deliberate, reckless and/or malicious damage results in loss of income, the client may also be liable to cover the loss of income.

Do: plan your trip to stay on sealed roads.
We do not authorise any travel upon unsealed roads.

Do: contact us if you left something behind.
If in all the excitement you accidentally leave something behind in our vehicle please contact us asap.
Respecting Others

Do: be respectful of your fellow passengers, the driver and others.
We reserve the right to refuse to carry people who demonstrate overly intoxicated, aggressive or dangerous behaviour. Our driver may end the journey/services at any point without refund if any passenger’s behaviour is illegal, inappropriate and/or offensive.

Do: give us a positive review if you’re happy with our service.
We aim to provide a beautifully presented iconic classic Kombi, and the best possible service to you and your passengers, to make your special occasion all that your hoped for. We build our business on customer referrals. If you are happy please tell us and everyone else.

Do: speak to us asap if you have any concerns.
We commit to listening to you if you have any concerns and working with you for a mutually agreeable result. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service please let us know. We are committed to providing the best possible service. Your feedback will help us improve. All communications from you and us must be respectful.
